How Best to Buy: Faxination is sold exclusively through the VAR channel. Fenestrae maintains sales and marketing offices worldwide for local VAR sales and marketing. In addition, Fenestrae has a dispersed Global Account team to ensure smooth account relations with Fortune 100 companies. Distributors include Compaq, Siemens, EDS and API Wang.

Fax Service Bureau Relationships: NetMoves.

Fenestrae (Duluth, GA — 770-622-5445) was one of the first to integrate with e-mail inboxes, and tightens that further with Active Directory support in Exchange 5.5.

Fenestrae’s Universal Message Routing (see sidebar) provides intra- and extranet Least Cost Routing (LCR), keeping tabs on both message type and message content. Depending on type and destination, messages can be routed via Exchange (and subsidiary MAPI protocols), or via pipes, directly over IP.

Faxination can log all transmission and routing details in Exchange Public folders or MDAC sources. This data is then easily used across the enterprise in management reporting functions, cost accounting and reporting.

Fenestrae’s multi-tiered, RPC-enabled architecture allows for easy scalability and “plug and play” connectivity for other host or device connections.

In remote offices, the Satellite functions as an IP network node for intra-company free faxing, and as a hop-off point to local PSTN fax destinations.

Omtool’s desktop clients can reside on the desktop, run thinly from within a web browser, or from within existing e-mail integrations. Omtool’s solution also provides system administrators with advanced tools to manage and control fax documents and fax communications.
