Fenestrae (Duluth, GA — 770-622-5445) was one of the first to integrate with e-mail inboxes, and tightens that further with Active Directory support in Exchange 5.5.
Fenestrae’s Universal Message Routing (see sidebar) provides intra- and
extranet Least Cost Routing (LCR), keeping tabs on both message
type and message content. Depending on type and destination, messages
can be routed via Exchange (and subsidiary MAPI protocols), or
via pipes, directly over IP.
Faxination can log all transmission and routing details in Exchange Public
folders or MDAC sources. This data is then easily used across

fax machines an on-ramp to IP, intercepting the fax and shipping
it as a T.37-compliant e-mail attachment. In remote offices, the
Satellite functions as an IP network node for intra-company free
