Copia Supports V.34 Faxing with Brooktrout Technology's TR1034
Naperville, IL -- (May 9, 2002) - Copia International is one of
the first to announce support of Brooktrout Technology's TR1034™
high performance 33.6kbps intelligent fax board based on the V.34
fax standard. CopiaFacts' faxing engine uses the powerful capabilities
of the TR1034 to deliver faxes at twice the speed than before. A
fax document sent at 33.6kbps is more than twice as fast as one
sent at 14.4kbps. So a document that takes 1 minute to fax using
14.4 can now be sent in less than 30 seconds. This translates into
a considerable savings on telephone cost.
Among its many features, Brooktrout's TR1034 board also has a PRI
and T1 robbed bit interface that aids in faster dial detection and
call progress, which makes it very attractive to Copia's larger
customers that do outbound fax broadcasting such as, call centers
and service bureaus. Using this board, Copia provides adaptive call
progress to connect with a wide variety of fax machines, color fax
T.42 and line conditions.
