FaxFacts now supports HP Digital Senders!
Naperville, IL -- (February 4, 2004) – Copia International
announces support for Hewlett-Packard Digital Senders using Copia’s
popular FaxFacts fax server software. The HP Digital Sender prepares
the document for either e-mail or fax delivery and FaxFacts handles
the delivery process, including retries and notifications.
Hewlett-Packard Digital Senders provide a number of options for
managing and incorporating color or black and white documents into
existing messaging and document management systems. HP Digital
Senders turn paper documents into PDF or TIFF images prior to passing
them to the FaxFacts for delivery as fax or e-mail. The result
is a near-original quality copy of the original document sent quickly
and effortlessly. HP Digital Senders also turn HP Jetsend-enabled
HP Color LaserJet printers into color copiers.

industries still rely heavily on hand signed documents and processing
thousands of hand signed documents a day takes time. Stand-alone
fax machines were still used for faxing of paper documents. These

or accountability offered with their FaxFacts fax server system
used for desktop faxing. Since many of these offices already used
HP Digital Senders to send documents as e-mails to their clients,
it was natural to harness these existing Digital Senders and add
faxing capabilities to them.”
Stand-alone fax machines do not fit into most outbound document
management schemes and pose compliance problems with recent regulations
like the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection
Act (TCPA) or the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act (HIPAA), which require total accountability for fax communications.
Digital Senders overcome this problem by using highly reliable
and accountable FaxFacts message servers to deliver fax and e-mail
messages. The delivery process may be completely tracked using
database query and update features available in FaxFacts, providing
a complete audit trail for management.
HP Digital Sender support is now included with the Enterprise
