Never Busy Fax - Rollover Colliding fax Transmissions
Eliminate fax sender frustration, lower fax receiver expenses,
and guaranteed delivery on the first try
PRESS RELEASE
Wheaton, IL -- July 1996 -- You can spend all
day trying to send a fax to a busy customer, miss the one fax you
need, and receive six identical copies of a 4-page junk fax. Headaches
like these are gone with FaxFacts' new product,
Never Busy Fax. Never Busy Fax
eliminates fax sender frustration, lowers fax receiver expenses,
and it guarantees delivery on the first try. Implemented by FaxFacts
service bureaus and other DID (Direct Inward Dial) users, Never
Busy Fax captures fax overflow and then delivers one copy
of each fax to the intended fax machine when the line is free.
Michael O'Brien of Digitel in Washington state introduced Never
Busy Fax service into the marketplace as part of his service
bureau's fax answering service. Michael's clients have their fax
machine phone line rollover to Digitel when incoming faxes collide.
When forwarding these overflow faxes, Never Busy Fax
recognizes them as "retries," so if they fail again, it
doesn't re- store them. Because Digitel competes directly with the
phone company, Michael wanted to assure a more efficient, as well
as economical, fax delivery service to his customers. With Never
Busy Fax handling rollover faxes, his customers receive
100% of their incoming faxes, and don't pay for duplicates created
with stupid retries.
A unique feature of Never Busy Fax, Stop Mail,
uses CSID (Customer Station Identifier) recognition to eliminate
repetitive faxes. If the customer's fax machine is still busy when
the service bureau attempts to forward the fax, Stop Mail recognizes
the CSID as its own, identifies the fax as a retry, and does not
create a second (or third) duplicate fax when it is returned to
the bureau's mailbox. Stop Mail can also be used to refuse faxes
from specific CSIDs, like junk fax sources.
Never Busy Fax is a fax insurance policy against
missing faxes and a convenience to your customers. Your fax machine
performs as if it were receiving simultaneous faxes. Callers experience
only an extra ring, unaware that their fax is being directed to
a "holding" mailbox. They are aware, however, that the
fax number was not busy and they don't have to resend a fax.
