Copia's Fax to E-Mail Connection
Link your faxes with your e-mail
Wheaton, IL -- June, 1997 -- Copia International, Ltd. has
just removed a major obstacle to smooth enterprise messaging. Now it is
possible to exchange messages with fax or e-mail clients using Copia's proven
FaxFacts software. E-mail messages may be sent to fax and fax
messages can be routed to e-mail. FaxFacts can also notify
e-mail clients when a fax has been delivered or received or when a fax delivery
has failed. This approach allows the participants to continue using their
favorite messaging tools.
Routing e-mail to a fax machine is as simple as entering a phone number at
the To: prompt. The e-mail message is converted to fax and
sent to that phone number. Sending a fax to an e-mail client is done by
converting the fax message to Portable Document Format (PDF) and sending it as
an attachment. Numerous PDF readers are available to read the attachment.
FaxFacts works with MAPI-compliant messaging systems like
Exchange or Groupwise to integrate fax with those systems. Incoming faxes can
be routed to an Exchange mailbox where they may be viewed within Exchange.
Exchange clients can also receive notification when a fax is sent or received.
Inbound fax routing may be done manually or automatically using DID or DTMF.
WebFax allows visitors to the World Wide Web to download
web pages to fax. FaxFacts FFWEB uses a universal formatting
and storage system for Fax-on-Demand documents and web pages. This also allows
users to call and download actual web pages to their fax machines.
"Companies will always need fax as part of their communication
package," says President Steve Hersee. "And it can become even more
versatile by integrating with other messaging and information delivery
systems."
Copia International, owner of the one-call Fax-on-Demand patent, is a major
publisher of enhanced fax solutions for business. The FaxFacts
suite of products includes FaxFacts Server, Fax Broadcasting, Fax from Windows,
Mail Merge to Fax, Fax Mail, and Graphical Cover Sheet. All FaxFacts products
