The following notes apply to Commetrex PowerFax cards.
Installation
The following installation steps must be performed
| • | Launch the autorun program on the FaxFacts CD (CDAUTO.EXE) |
| • | Select Hardware Install and then Commetex to install runtimes to e.g. C:\MSERIES |
| • | Complete the install which will launch the Commetrex Configurator, if you have not previously installed an earlier release |
| • | In the Commetrex Configurator, click Auto Detect |
| • | Highlight each detected board in turn, click Edit, delete the ??????, and enter the board password which will normally be found in a label on the board. |
| • | Click Apply, then click Exit |
If you use the Commetrex analog board behind a PBX or on a direct line with dial tone other than the USA standard tone, you may need to disable 'wait for dial tone'. If so, use the Commetrex utility parmedit.exe to change the value of the nodialtoneaction parameter to 1. The change applies to all ports in the system.
