FFMERGE Move Utility

FFMRGMV

This utility is automatically started when you exit from FFMRGNT after setting up your FFMERGE operation, when 'staged local copy' is enabled. You must leave it running until after your merge operation (for example, from MS-Word) is completed.

The utility moves FS files from the staged local folder to the appropriate TOSEND queue and fax images into the CALLBACK\TEMP folder on the file server.

The utility can be started manually if you have no need to run FFMRGNT before starting your FFMERGE operation.

Using FFMRGMV on Vista and Server 2008

On Vista, Server 2008 and above, FFMRGMV requires an MSMQ queue to be created to communicate with the FFMERGE driver, and this in turn requires that you install the MSMQ Windows component, which is not installed by default.  The queue must be a private local queue named "ffmrgmvq".  To install MSMQ and create the necessary queue, follow the instructions in the FFTRACE topic, for which a queue is also needed for debugging purposes.

Set up FFMRGMV for MSMQ interface:

Install MSMQ if not already installed, using Control Panel / Programs and Features / Turn Windows Features On and Off.  Select MSMQ server core.

Create a new private queue by right-clicking Computer and selecting Manage / Services and Applications / Message Queueing / Private Queues. Right-click this and select New / Private Queue.  Enter the queue name, which must be 'ffmrgmvq' (without quotes). Do not check 'transactional'. If required also set up a queue for tracing as described under FFTRACE.

Right-click the new queue name and select properties, then security.  Set Full Control for Everybody and for Anonymous.
