Purpose
It is possible to perform limited do-not-send checking before the launch of a broadcast in FFBC or Job Admin. List items matched in the NDX file will be excluded from the launch operation and will not appear in any reports or statistics for the job.
Specifying Do-Not-Send lookup NDX files for use before launch.
For this purpose a $dns_file command may also appear in the template file for FFBC or among the $fs_template commands in Job Admin. This file will be used only during the launching of a broadcast job.
This use of $dns_file is now deprecated. There are no equivalents for e-mail addresses and domain names, and only NDX files can be used for this purpose.
Failure Outcome codes
There is no failure outcome code. Matching list items are simply ignored.
