Server Configuration Utility
SERCONF
SERCONF is run from the CopiaFacts installation program CDAUTO to set up standard FAXFACTS.CFG and FAX.USR files, and to set the correct base drive and directory for CopiaFacts in other configuration files located on the machine running CopiaFacts. This is done after the main CopiaFacts programs have been installed.

You may also run SERCONF manually if you change the name of your CopiaFacts directory or move it to another drive. SERCONF will only process the default configuration file FAXFACTS.CFG and the default user profile file FAX.USR. If you have a custom system with different filenames or multiple user profile files, you must modify them yourself if you change drives or directories.
Although SERCONF attempts to modify intelligently any existing files, it may be unable correctly to modify files containing complex custom commands. A backup is always made if the configuration or user profile already exists. The backups are numbered FAXFACTS.001, .002, .003 etc., and FAX.001, .002, .003 etc.
SERCONF displays a task list of the suggested actions depending on what files it finds. To skip any action, uncheck its checkbox. For some of the actions, you will be asked to supply additional information. Currently, this consists of the following items:
| CSID | The answerback code to be used for faxes sent from or received by the FAX.USR profile. |
| Area Code | The USA area code to be used in generated $phone_mask commands. |
| PBX Code | The digits (if any) to select an outside line, for $phone_mask commands. |
SERCONF should normally only be run from the current (or new, if changed) CopiaFacts directory on the machine running CopiaFacts server programs. The program will check that this is so by reference to the files it its directory.
When complete, SERCONF can optionally run SETUP to set the CopiaFacts client (workstation) tasks and drivers on the same machine. This allows the CopiaFacts client software to be used also by the administrator on the CopiaFacts fax server node.
