On startup of the engine, the summary status display appears. You may also view only the trace without the line status grid (on the 'Trace' page), and there is also a facility to view trace messages which have already scrolled off the screen (the 'Scroll back' page).
The screen shot above illustrates two additional features of the Summary screen: the ability to color individual lines and the display of additional information by clicking a status line.
The DISPLAY_COLOR system variable can be set in a user profile, infobox, or FS file to allow the range of different line activities to be viewed at a glance on this screen display.
Clicking a status line on this display shows additional information, such as call duration for an inbound call, destination and job information for an outbound call or the last call type for an idle line.
The letters in the Mode column have the following meanings:
| A | Accept inbound faxes into fax mail box 0 |
| B | Retrieve and/or pick up store-and-forward fax mail |
| C | Receive inbound faxes into a selectable fax mail box |
| D | Deliver store-and-forward fax mail |
| M | Maintenance operations and worker boxes |
| P | Pick up store-and-forward fax mail |
| Q | Send e-mail driven by MSMQ messages |
| T | Retrieve store-and-forward fax mail |
The grid of eight count fields can be customized in a number of ways:
| • | You can use the $display_box configuration command to display different values (as shown in the screen shot above for the second field in the bottom row. |
| • | By clicking in one of the two center fields on the top row, you can toggle the display between "Pages Sent" / "Xmit Errs" and "Active" / "Active Max". The latter pair of fields record the number of active lines and the maximum value that this has reached since program startup. |
| • | By clicking in one of the two center fields on the bottom row, you can toggle the display between "Requests" / "Log Errors" and "Email Sent" / Email fail". |
| • | By clicking in one of the two rightmost fields, you can toggle the display between "Messages:: / "O/B Delay" and "Max Open" / "Avg Open". The latter pair of fields record open times for FS files, which may become long as a result of network overload. |
