CopiaFacts™ Reference Manual

After a message has been successfully processed the following actions are taken:

•If an FS file has been written and if the retention of saved messages has been enabled (using the checkbox alongside the Saved Messages folder in GWMANAGER), the MSG file is renamed to .BAK and is left in its folder.  The MIF is left unchanged.

•If an error has been detected which caused maintenance mode to be enabled, the message is left in the saved messages folder to be reloaded when network access has been restored.

•For other errors, if the Reject Messages folder has been defined the MSG file and MIF are moved to this folder. Otherwise errors cause the deletion of the MSG and MIF.

If a valid folder name has been defined in a variable COPIED_GW_FILES in a special recipient template, then a successfully processed BAK and MIF are copied to the specified folder from the saved messages folder, which is normally a local folder. The folder should have been defined on a network drive so that the files are available to a worker box script initiated by the special recipient template.  This allows the viewing of messages sent to an 'admin' mailbox in a secure Gateway.
