Converting Office, PDF and other non-faxable documents to TIF format for faxing has traditionally been done using special printer drivers, so that a document is 'printed' not to a physical printer, but direct to a faxable TIF file. This is no longer the CopiaFacts default; instead we recommend converting all documents first to PDF and then using the CopiaFacts built-in PDF-to-TIF converter.
This conversion process via PDF is automatic in CVSINGLE for Document Converter applications (when not configured optionally to use the FFCVRT printer driver) and is available on all supported operating systems.
Multiple CopiaFacts printer drivers are still available and can be used as an option and for special applications. Printer drivers are currently available for the following operating systems (32-bit and 64-bit):
Standard Printer Drivers (FFCVRT, FFSAVE)
| Windows | versions 8 - 11 |
| Server | versions 2012 - 2016 |
FFMERGE Printer Drivers
| Windows | versions 8 - 11 |
| Server | versions 2012 - 2016 |
Note that some of the operating systems shown above are not supported by current versions of CopiaFacts.
For printer drivers on later Windows Server operating systems, you can also install the free eDocPrintPro printer driver, which can be used in a custom workflow to create a PDF for faxing in CopiaFacts. This printer driver can also be used in place of the FFCLIENT print driver.
