Display CopiaFacts-relevant System Information
CFINFO
CFINFO > info.txt
CFINFO | CLIP
This command-line program displays CopiaFacts-relevant system information, similar to that recorded in a COPIAFACTS engine trace file on engine start-up. You may be asked to run it by Copia support staff to show system information when an engine trace file is not available.
The program can be started in three ways:
•When double-clicked in the Copia program files folder, a new console window is opened, the displayed information scrolls into the window, and a message is displayed to press any key. You can scroll back the window with the mouse or the scroll-bar, but the window closes if you press a key.
•When run from the Run box (after keying Windows-R), the program behaves in the same way as when started from Explorer.
•When run in an open console window, there is no prompt at the end and the display can be scrolled back in the normal way. However if the command output has been piped into a file, or into MORE (to stop at the end of each page) or into CLIP (to save the output on the clipboard) a message is displayed confirming that the output is complete.
The sections of the report are as follows:
| Computer | The name of the computer and its network connection. |
| Restart Info | Date/Time information of Last Shutdown and Last Boot. |
| User | The user name, group membership, the type of session (local, RDP, VM, etc), and the elevation status. |
| Adapters | The names and details of the network adapters and their drivers. This section also shows the power options for the adapter: the option for Windows to power down the adapter, and the options for "Energy Efficient Ethernet" (EEE), and "Green Ethernet". You may want to disable these if you have encountered intermittent network issues. |
| Virtual Adapters | A summary of the virtual network adapters |
| Main Board | Details of the manufacturer and BIOS. |
| Processor(s) | Details of the CPU or CPUs on the machine. If a TPM is available, this is reported |
| Memory | Details of the amount of memory installed and the amount free. |
| Local Disks | Details of the local drives and volumes. |
| Monitors | Details of the primary monitor and any additional monitors. |
| Time Zone | Details of the time zone and system locale. |
| Operating System | Details of the operating system and System software |
| Windows components | Details of .Net, Database providers, and Browsers. |
| Applications | Details of installed applications affecting CopiaFacts and document conversion: browsers, Microsoft Office, webview, mail client, Acrobat, LibreOffice, etc. |
| CopiaFacts Info | Location of CopiaFacts programs and Data, CopiaFacts installation dates, and maintenance info. |
| Security | Details of installed AntiVirus, AntiSpyware and Firewall products (this is not available on Servers) |
| Services | Information about the CopiaFacts-related services installed. The service start date and time are only available when CFINFO is run elevated. |
| CPU usage snapshot | If a snapshot of COPIAFACTS CPU usage has written to the registry in the preceding 30 minutes, it will be displayed. |
Some information may suppressed when this information is displayed at the top of a COPIAFACTS trace file. When CFINFO is run elevated, in can include some additional items in the above categories, and may also take a little less time to scan.
